In December 2025, the purchase agreement for 17.28 hectares of arable land in Gemarkung Bismark, Vorpommern-Greifswald, was notarised. The site features glacially formed hummocky terrain with sandy soils, deep depressions and pronounced elevation changes — a topography that makes it poorly suited for intensive farming but particularly valuable for ecological enhancement.

Four main measures are planned under HzE M-V 2018: field copses (2.13), hedgerows (2.22), extensive meadows (2.31), and on the adjacent former farmstead, woodland succession (1.12). The dominant measure is extensive meadow management across 15.85 ha with a compensation value of 4.0 — generating around 634,000 eco-points from this measure alone. We conservatively project around 650,000 eco-points for the overall project.

"The site has everything a good eco-account project needs: topography, location, and an authority that knows the process." — Dr. Marten von Velsen-Zerweck

The land transfer permit was granted on 17 December 2025 (ref. 20b-5401.2/03/75-113-273/25-A). The formal application to the Lower Nature Conservation Authority Vorpommern-Greifswald is in preparation. Certification and first sales are planned for 2026.
